StrobeWise™ Next Generation Auto Safety
|
Over 2 million rear-end collisions occur each year on American highways costing thousands of lives and
immeasurable amount of dollars. It is estimated that over 15 million man-hours of productivity are lost each
year due to rear-end collisions. Most of us know someone who has been involved in a rear-end collision.
If following drivers had just 0.5 additional seconds of warning time, rear-end collisions could be reduced by 60%.
(according to the NTSB Special Investigation Report SIR-01/01)
Because of it's unique, patent pending technology, StrobeWise™ gives following drivers up to 10 seconds of
additional warning time and in many cases many more seconds.
StrobeWise™ flashes its center mounted pulsating strobe light, from inside the lead vehicle's rear window,
outside and towards the rear upon deceleration of the lead vehicle. This warns following vehicles that
deceleration is occurring and that a braking event is potentially eminent. Strobe rate varies proportional to the
degree of deceleration with an optional steady flashing, when the vehicle is stopped. Typically, StrobeWise™
activates well before the brake pedal is depressed.
It's LED powered strobe is guaranteed to last for as long as you own your vehicle. The anodized, extruded
aluminum module is powered by two microprocessors.
Other technologies warn following drivers only after braking is initiated. StrobeWise™ warns following drivers
before braking is initiated, creating from 1 to 10 seconds of additional warning time. That is up to 9.5 seconds
more than the NTSB says will reduce rear-end collisions by 60%.
StrobeWise™ units are operational in the CA cities of Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Jose, Brentwood &
Sunnyvale and WA cities of Seattle, Renton, Sequim & Port Angeles and the MI city of Hudsonville.
